I love photos like that...I have one from Japan with a temple gate in the foreground and a high rise in the background. I just love that combination of old and new!

And I'm probably related to everyone in that photo... ;-)

I'm just visiting - I like places that contrast are visible. That is one of the reason I enjoy living in America. Your pictures are very insightful!

Wow! I do love the contrasts in that photo.

BTW, your blog is great. Somebody linked to it last week on Twitter, and the next day Dianne gave you a shout out on her blog. If you've been wondering who the person in Arkansas USA that's been wandering around in your archive is, it's me.

And oh yeah, did you happen to get that girls name and number? LOL .. I kidding.

Kind of. ;-)

That photo really speaks volumes about diversity and how different and yet very much the same we all are. Fantastic!

An interesting photo it makes the viewer think. This is a really good shot not just aesthetically but subject-wise as well I cannot wait to see what else comes up in your Old World Contrast!

That is truly wordless. Great shot -- contrasts of all sorts.

Hope to have a Sunday photo one of these weeks! We're not yet into summer fun.

Hey Robin! I was overwhelmed by the number of links on WW, but as soon as I saw "Robin from Israel" I knew which one to click on!

I love this photo you took! How do you do it without people noticing? Maybe you just blend in with all the tourists snapping away?

My WW is some photos outside the US Holocaust Memorial Museum this time. I pray that as our President travels to the middle east, he retains clarity of vision and wisdom in his purpose.

Contrast? Wha... OH! sorry, I was distracted for a moment there. I'm guessing the young woman in the photo probably gets a lot of that.

But you cannot expect to get away with not dishing some details on that hat the guy in the black coat is wearing. It can't possibly be cold enough to warrant a fur hat this time of year, and I doubt there are very many "puckheads" in Israel (and even fewer that would wear the headgear out in public) so there's got to be some other explanation for this choice. So what gives?
