Stained Glass Window

.

Jerusalem's Christ Church, completed in 1849, is the oldest Protestant church in the Middle East.

This one can do triple-duty for Wordless/Wordful Wednesday and Whimsical Windows, wouldn't you say?

Lovely in so many ways, the stone frame work and colored glass are exquisite as is your composition.

Wow, Robin - that is really breathtaking! I'm always a sucker for stained glass, but that one is particularly special.
You sure do have lots of W's going on your Wednesday memes :) Thanks so much for participating in mine!

Beautiful! For the longest time, whenever we traveled around the world, my husband would love to take pictures of churches. He loved the stained glass, the unique architecture and the purpose of the building. Some of the most beautiful pictures of churches we took were in Christchurch New Zealand where there were two earthquakes recently. I hope the churches held up.

Nicely done. Love the contrast of the glass against the stone.

Beautiful. I love the lighting here -- where you can see the arch details as well as the glass. Lovely.
